Allow me to set the scene for you.
You’re chilling on the couch next to your lady friend — or if you’re a gal, you’re dude friend — and you’ve officially entered an official tongue wrestling sparring session. Things are just getting good, hot and heavy, lots of indication that you’re evening is going to end with a super awesome bedroom fireworks display, when all of the sudden, you hear the sound of a very loud motor, like that of a car engine, barreling toward the front of your home.
Then comes the boom, boom, and I’m not talking about the happy kind.
A car crashes into your house, lands inside of it, and it’s all caught on video thanks to a doorbell camera.
I think it’s safe to say the evening has come to a crashing halt. See what I did there? Of course you did, our readers aren’t stupid. Too bad the same cannot be said for those currently perusing CNN.
Anyway, half of this scenario actually happened. The part about a vehicle crashing into a house.

According to Storyful, the wild crash was one hell of a wakeup call … going down at 6:30 AM in Jurupa Valley, CA — and this doorbell video shows a black sedan flying high above to 2 parked pickup trucks before crashing into the side of a house. Check it out … you can see and hear the sedan speeding quickly through the residential area before hitting a curb — which results in the car getting some serious air, and then it smashes through the garage door. It finally comes to rest on top of one of the pickup trucks. Richard Hernandez, who shared the doorbell cam footage, told Storyful the driver lost control after trying to make a left-hand turn at a high speed … resulting in the catastrophe.
In the actual incident and not my fantasized version, no one was home at the time of the accident. The driver only suffered minor injuries. Talk about a lucky day. I can’t think of any other way this kind of situation could work out better. Well, aside from simply not happening at all. That, of course, would be the ideal situation.
Now, I think it’s safe to say, after looking at the cause of the accident, that the individual driving the sedan is a moron. Either a careless individual who was simply not paying attention to their speed or was distracted, or else they are trying to be Mr. Billy Bada** and ended up looking like a dumba** instead. Either way, the driver isn’t going to be forgetting his near death experience anytime soon.
Hopefully, he’ll actually learn from the whole mess and not continue to drive like an idiot on the open road.
