President Joe Biden hit a snag during his speech on Monday, causing a stir with a brief moment of confusion.
Critics have been quick to question Biden’s mental sharpness and his ability to handle the immense responsibilities of leading the nation.
“Not long ago, my buddy John McCain passed away,” Biden said. “My predecessor friend, that’s how he ended his career,” Biden went on, raising eyebrows with his use of “predecessor” to describe McCain, a former senator and presidential candidate, but never a president.
