Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have long been riding the climate change bandwagon for some time now. In 2021, they pledged to make all their business activities have a net-zero carbon footprint by 2030 at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26. The announcement came after Prince Harry and Meghan were called out over the past year for taking what seemed to be unnecessary jet trips (mainly Harry choosing to fly a private jet to a polo match). In 2019 the Prince was criticized by Piers Morgan in his column in the Sun for continuing to fly private jets. “It takes a special kind of brazen brass neck to stand up at the United Nations in New York, as he did today, and lecture the world about climate change when you constantly use luxury gas-guzzling private jets like a taxi service.” That was then, but seemingly, not much has changed.
Further evidence that the unemployed polo bum Prince Harry is one of the most deceitful hypocrites in the world today. He preaches about equality and environmental awareness yet hops around the USA on a $9million private jet. Grotesque behaviour. https://t.co/mq8qB6Ooj7

Just last week, Prince Harry was once again spotted arriving in a high-end electric Audi E-Tron before boarding a private jet to attend another one-day event — this time a charity event in Aspen, Colorado.
His departure from Santa Barbara, California, was said to have been delayed for around 30 minutes on Wednesday. The Prince then sent a Range Rover, a fossil-fueled powered vehicle, back to Montecito to pick up his polo equipment for the event featuring his longtime polo buddy, Nacho Figueras.
Harry boarded Bombardier Challenger 600, a private jet owned by businessman and polo enthusiast Marc Ganzi. Harry played at the tournament to raise money for his HIV charity Sentebale. After the event, He flew back to California by commercial airline. Among Harry’s charitable causes, he is a champion for environmental causes, which begs the question of why we keep seeing reports of him jet-setting to one-day events. In the past, Harry has defended his use of jets by saying that he uses them for security reasons.
“I spend 99% of my life traveling the world by commercial,” he explained in 2019. “Occasionally there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure my family is safe, and it’s genuinely as simple as that. But as I said in my speech, for me, it’s about balance.”
Also, in 2019, Harry’s older brother, Prince William, was commended for flying commercial. Harry and Meghan were criticized for using private jets to take numerous trips, many of whom attended one-day events. The British press started to coin the couple as hypocrites for campaigning on environmental issues, which included relying less on fossil fuels but then boarding private jets. At one point, Elton John stepped up to defend the couple after they flew a private jet to stay with him in the south of France. Sir Elton John said he had paid for the jet for “security reasons” and had also paid for the offsetting cost of carbon emissions. But isn’t the whole idea to curb the use and reliance on fossil fuels because they are killing the planet? The hypocrisy is as confusing to me as it might be to many people who are just not buying into the whole climate change agenda.
