Hollywood action star and legendary pro-wrestler, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson heaped a ton of praise on former President Donald Trump and the strength he demonstrated following the assassination attempt on his life in July. Johnson said that display of toughness is just what Americans “wanted to see” when he was shot with a bullet through the ear. Trump got right back up, pumped his fist in the air, and then shouted, “Fight!”
I mean, come on, right? Does it get more masculine than that? Men want to follow a leader who is strong like that and refuses to be intimidated. Not even an assassin’s bullet can stop Trump. It speaks volumes about his personal character. This man, a billionaire, is running for president, using a whole lot of his own money for funding, is constantly getting hounded by the media, is the victim of a weaponized legal system, and then someone tried to murder him, yet he refuses to quit. He really doesn’t have much to gain from being president. Which means he does believe that he’s the right man for the job. He’s sold enough on the ideals he’s promoting that he’s willing to do die for them.
That’s courage.

Johnson spoke about Trump during an appearance at Patrick Bet-David’s The Vault Conference in Florida last week. At one point, the Jumanji star spoke about the July 13 assassination attempt that nearly took Trump’s life.
“Whether you love Donald, don’t love Donald, it doesn’t matter. They tried to assassinate him. There’s no room for that,” he went on to say. “Despite it being who we were in that moment, I still believe in my core that is not who we are as a country. So him standing up at that moment, we wanted to see that.”
Without a doubt, when journalists reflect back on 2024 at the end of the year, the moment Trump stood back up and threw a defiant fist in the air while standing beneath the American flag will be one of the most iconic and defining in a presidential campaign in our modern political history. The Hollywood superstar also took an opportunity to reflect on his days in the professional wrestling business, discussing how Trump used to attend his matches at the legendary Madison Square Garden.
“It was great,” the actor recalled. “First time I saw him, he said, ‘Let me see the eyebrows.’”

Johnson recently said he won’t be publicly endorsing any presidential candidate this year. In a possible indication of his current leaning, he said back in April: “Am I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer’s no.”
“His decision comes after he endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020,” the report concluded.
