Actress Robyn Bernard, renowned for her portrayal of Terry Brock on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital” during the 1980s, was discovered deceased in a field located in San Jacinto, California, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to a statement released by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, Bernard, aged 64 at the time of her passing, was found in a field behind a business establishment in San Jacinto. The cause of her demise has not yet been determined, with investigations ongoing by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Having graced the screens for several years, Bernard, who is notably recognized as the older sister of “Wings” actress Crystal Bernard, embarked on her acting journey with her debut role in the 1981 film “Diva.”
Born on May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas, Bernard captivated audiences with her portrayal of Terry Brock, the daughter of David Groh’s character, D.L. Brock, in “General Hospital,” accumulating a total of 145 episodes, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Departing from the show in 1990, Bernard had already built an impressive repertoire, making notable appearances in various television series including “Simon & Simon,” “Whiz Kids,” “Tour of Duty,” “The Facts of Life,” and “Maigret.”
Her talent extended to the silver screen with roles in films such as the 1986 “Betty Blue,” the 1989 “Roselyne and the Lions,” and “Kings for a Day,” released in 1997.
Bernard’s final on-screen performance was in 2002, where she portrayed a psychologist in “Voices From the High School.”
