Perhaps one of the most infamous family members of a U.S. president in the history of our nation, Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, shocked the whole of Congress on Wednesday by making a public appearance on Capitol Hill during a meeting where lawmakers are weighing a new resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena. I mean, the fact that Hunter was up before the crack of dinner, seemed mildly sober, and actually looked somewhat presentable is surprising enough, but for him to actually show up at the meeting is staggering.
The bar is set pretty low for him at this point.
Video footage revealed Biden sauntering into the room where members of the House were conducting their meeting, encircled by his legal team, and taking a seat in the audience, crossing his arms like some “wannabe” crime boss. This dude is so irritating. Arrogance and privilege oozes from every pore. He truly believes he and his family are above the law.
South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace confronted the younger son of the president, referring to him as “the epitome of white privilege.” I really despise that term, but in the case of Hunter Biden, it’s actually true. Well, maybe not the white part, as I don’t believe that exists. I think of it as political privilege, which this man has in spades, given his criminal history, past drug abuse, and other activities that should have landed him behind bars a long time ago.
Democrats during the proceedings wanted to hear from Biden, but others wanted to see him slapped in handcuffs.

According to the Daily Wire, just 30 minutes after he showed up, Biden got up and left, just as fiery Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was given a chance to speak.

“I think it’s clear and obvious for everyone watching this hearing today that Hunter Biden is terrified of strong conservative Republican women because he can’t even face my words as I was about to speak to him. What a coward,” Greene stated.

Here’s more from the report:
Lawmakers subpoenaed Biden to appear for a deposition as part of the corruption-focused impeachment probe into his father, President Joe Biden, which is also looking into how the Department of Justice has handled its criminal investigation into Hunter Biden.
The younger Biden showed up at the U.S. Capitol last month on the same day that he was supposed to appear for the scheduled deposition. Instead of attending the interview, Biden demanded House Republicans allow him to appear for a public hearing to answer “legitimate” questions.
House Republicans have indicated they were willing to have Hunter Biden testify in a public hearing — but only after a deposition — warned the First Son he would face contempt of Congress proceedings following his show of defiance. Shortly after Biden’s press event, the House elected to formally authorize the impeachment inquiry in a party-line vote that Republicans argued would give legal weight to their subpoenas.
Speaker Mike Johnson spoke with reporters and said, “I don’t know why Hunter’s here. He wants another photo opp. He’s not compliant with that subpoena.”

If the resolution being talked about in Congress passes through the committee, it will be voted on in the House. After that, the resolution is shipped off to the DOJ where prosecutors could then bring charges against Hunter Biden. Of course, given how corrupt the Justice Department is right now, who knows if they will actually do their job to uphold and enforce the law fairly and justly.
