Queen Camilla recently shared heartening news about Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, following Middleton’s announcement of her cancer diagnosis and impending chemotherapy.
During a visit to Shrewsbury Farmers’ Market, Queen Camilla received handmade cards from two young girls, Lois and Harriet, expressing their support for Middleton. Queen Camilla assured the girls that Middleton was touched by their kind gestures and promised to deliver the cards to her with care, despite Harriet’s concern that they had become slightly creased due to the wind.
“I’ll take them carefully and will make sure she knows they’re coming,” Queen Camilla reassured the girls.
In an interview with the Telegraph, Harriet explained that she and her sister wanted to convey their love and support to the royal family, particularly to Middleton.
“We heard the news and I wanted to hold the poster up to show my love to Kate,” Harriet said.
Their mother also shared their surprise at the queen’s close interaction with them, noting that Queen Camilla assured them she would send her love to Middleton.
Last week, Middleton revealed in a video that doctors had discovered cancer following her abdominal surgery earlier this year, prompting her to undergo chemotherapy.

“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family,” Middleton disclosed in the video. “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was noncancerous. The surgery was successful, however tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”
Middleton’s diagnosis adds to a string of cancer cases within the royal family, including King Charles III and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.
“This of course came as a huge shock,” Middleton continued. “William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them and to reassure them that I am going to be ok.”
Amidst the public attention and media speculation surrounding Middleton’s condition, Buckingham Palace recently released a digitally altered photo of her family, marking her first public appearance since December. However, controversies and speculations persist, with some even questioning Middleton’s presence during a recent farm tour with Prince William.
