Prince Harry has once again sent social media into meltdown after he made some truly bizarre statements about the Queen, his late mother and his role in the Royal Family going forward.
The Prince, who not long ago famously said he and his wife Duchess Meghan Markle sought a private life away from the media, gave yet another sit-down, tell-all interview last night, this time with NBC’s Today Show.
During the interview, which aired earlier this morning, the embattled Prince claimed to have a good relationship with his grandmother, the Queen, who he praised for having a good “sense of humour”. Strangely Harry went on to suggest that he is “making sure [the Queen] is protected and got the right people around her”.
But as Today Show host Hoda Kotb asked whether or not he misses his brother, William and his father Charles, Harry skirted the question, instead insisting his focus was on the Invictus Games, which he is currently hosting in the Netherlands, and his life back in California.

The Duke went on to talk about his late mother Princess Diana, who he said was a “constant presence” in his life.
In my opinion, quite bizarrely Harry told the Today Show that his mom was responsible for “setting up” his brother William after her death and she was now, according to Harry, turning her attention to him:

“It is almost as though she’s done her bit with my brother and now she’s very much like helping me. She got him set up and now she’s helping me set up. That’s what it feels like. He’s got his kids, I’ve got my kids,” he told NBC.
Despite claiming to have a close relationship with the Queen and that his grandmother talks about “things she can’t talk about with anybody else”, Harry hinted he probably would not attend the Queen’s landmark Platinum Jubilee celebration this summer.
Locked in an on-going spat over state-funded security, the Duke seemed to hint that he was willing to stop the Queen being able to meet her great-grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet until he got his way:
“Lots of things… Security issues and everything else. This is what I’m trying to do: [I’m] trying to make it possible that I can get my kids to meet her.”
The Queen met Archie as an infant in May 2019 and has never met 10-month-old Lilibet, who was named after the Queen’s childhood nickname.
The revelations came after Harry and Meghan’s secret meeting with the Queen last in London Thursday – prompting many social media users to question the Duke’s ‘lack of security’ excuses.
Harry also seemed to blatantly contradict himself again as he snubbed his home country. He told NBC that the USA is his “home” despite a few weeks earlier having pleaded to the courts that the UK will “always be his home” as he fought the British Home Office for state-funded security:
“Home for me now, for the time being, is in the States and it feels that way as well,” said Harry to NBC, contradicting his own remarks he had made less than two months previously.
“We’ve been welcomed with open arms and we have such a great community up in Santa Barbara,” he said, hinting that Britain was not welcoming.
While the Royal Family has a duty to remain political neutral for the sake of democratic fairness and stability, Harry made it absolutely clear that the Sussexes intend to keep pushing a political, woke agenda:
“My sort of mantra now every day, and it’s a dangerous one because I need to make sure that I don’t have a burnout, is trying to make the world a better place for my kids”.
