Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport went on a fiery rant against the New York Times on Wednesday, stating that the publication is not trustworthy. The comments stemmed from a report published by the Times concerning the war between Israel and Hamas, which Rapaport called “imbalanced.”
“The New York Times is just a title. It’s not a fair trustworthy source of news. It’s a rotten corroded snot hole. It should be shut down once & for ever,” he stated in a post about the paper.
Man, that’s an epic burn honestly. I can’t say I disagree with his take on this either. Once upon a time, many moons ago, the NY Times was a respectable paper known for its top notched journalism and integrity. At some point, they traded that all in to be a propaganda creator for the Democratic Party.
A story published by the Jerusalem Post featured data from a study conducted by Yale professor Edieal Pinker, which discovered that the coverage of the war from the Times helped to create a “sympathy for the Palestinian people.” Which is not the job of a publication supposedly dedicated to journalistic ethics.
You are to report the facts, not try to sway people to one side of the war or the other. Objective news reporting is as elusive as a unicorn that poops Skittles.
According to Fox News, a spokesperson for the Times sent the network a statement, which said, “This latest report joins a long list of studies from across the spectrum of ideological positions on the war in the Middle East. Our coverage is a vast, empathetic, and independent body of work, researched and written by world-class journalists and edited to our exacting editorial standards.”
“Rapaport has been outspoken about his pro-Israel stance since the Oct. 7 attacks. Despite being a notable Trump critic, he has also said he was open to the president’s plans for Gaza,” the article read.

In a video that was shared on social media platform X, Rapaport ripped into attempts to make peace between Israel and Gaza in our modern day, stating that “nothing’s worked.” He then said that people should be more open to Trump’s plan for the simple fact that it’s different than what has been tried before.
“We’ve tried with the peace accords, the normalizations, the two-state solutions, the this, that, and the third. Every f—ing idea has been tried, discussed,” he ranted.
“If you’re more offended by the idea of the United States taking over Gaza than what you have seen with your own eyes, for decade after decade, from October 7, even now — sometimes you have to learn the f—ing hard way,” the comedian concluded.
Rapaport also criticized Democrats and leftists just before the election last November for referring to Trump as Hitler.
“S— stain Donald Trump, pig d— Donald Trump, call him whatever you want, I’ve given you gem after gem for years, but stop with the Hitler s—. Stop with the Hitler s—. Do not refer to Hitler and the Holocaust – the actual greatest slaughter and actual genocide of the Jewish people – for attention and political gain,” he exploded.
