Not long after Netflix co-founder and executive chairman Reed Hastings announced he would be voting for Vice President Kamala Harris back in July, cancellations for the streaming platform went through the roof. If that’s not proof that there’s a sizable group of individuals in this country who are not too happy with the Biden-Harris administration and are eager to try something totally different that might help heal the economy and provide them with a better lifestyle, I don’t know what is.
A report from The Daily Wire says, “Bloomberg News reported that cancellations tripled after Hastings made the announcement and donated $7 million to a super PAC backing her campaign.”
“After the depressing debate, we are in the game again,” Hastings stated during an interview. Then, in a post published on X, he said, “Congrats to Kamala Harris — now it is time to win.”
Congrats to Kamala Harris — now it is time to win

The company was already facing a large number of cancellations in the month of July due to cutting their lowest tier subscription package, however the week following Hasting’s endorsement, they spiked to new heights that were “unusual, even for July.” Ouch. It’s almost like going woke is bad for business. Who knew?
After Hastings went public with the endorsement and his donation, conservatives made #CancelNetflix trend on social media for days. The Democrat megadonor was one of the most prominent voices on the Left who urged President Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race after his disastrous debate against former President Donald Trump in late June.
“Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous,” he said in a conversation with The New York Times.
The Times noted that Hastings and his wife, Patty Quillin, have increased their donations to Democrats in recent years — more than $20 million — over their vehement opposition to Trump. While they had given at least $1.6 million to back Biden, most of their money went to boosting Democrats in House and Senate races. The two had also given millions of dollars to stop efforts to recall far-Left California Governor Gavin Newsom and San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin.
Corporations who are supporting leftist candidates like Kamala Harris are showing their true colors and revealing what really matters to them: money. It’s crony capitalism at its finest. Netflix is not just one of the top streaming platforms in the world. It creates and purchases a lot of original content, much of which is extremely liberal thematically speaking. Doing so allows them to become propaganda pushers and get lots of “help” from the government to be profitable on the market.

The government and corporations should not be in bed together, yet that has become common place in the United States. Let’s expose those companies and let them know we won’t buy their services and products unless they break off their seedy relationship with the government.
