A federal court in the state of Maryland ruled on Thursday that parents do not have the right to opt their children out of a curriculum that happens to include books teaching radical gender theory. In other words, you as a child’s parent do not have the right to decide what kind of worldview is being taught to your kid in school. This is an attempt by the state to replace you and your authority in your child’s life. Folks, they are most definitely coming for your children.
According to The Daily Wire, Judge Deborah L. Boardman, a Biden appointee, stated that parents’ “asserted due process right to direct their children’s upbringing by opting out of a public-school curriculum that conflicts with their religious views is not a fundamental right,” Fox News stated.
“Last year, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) introduced 22 new books into elementary-aged classrooms that featured LGBTQ characters and radical gender theory topics and then stopped parents from opting their children out of gender and sexuality instruction in March. The move sparked outrage from many religious parents who, along with Becket Law, filed a lawsuit challenging the district’s decision in May. Concerned parents requested a preliminary injunction that would allow them to opt their children out of the LGBTQ curriculum when school begins next week,” the Daily Wire wrote.
The LGBTQ curriculum being used in the district has the goal of teaching children in pre-k through 8th grade. It includes a number of references to gender transition surgeries, drag queens, “intersex” identity, gay pride parades, and the topic of preferred pronouns, a report from National Review revealed. One of the books it includes says that doctors only give a “guess” as to what the sex of the baby is when it is born. This is the poison the left is using to try and twist up your kids and confuse them about their sexuality.
Why are they doing this? They want to teach kids that sexual perversion and deviancy is totally acceptable, healthy, and normal. By doing this they help destroy the family unit, the very institution that stands in their way of ruling over the common individual. It teaches kids to be at odds with their parents and distrust the values they are teaching them, and to put their faith and trust in the government as their parent. The curriculum also teaches that it’s not only acceptable, but almost preferable, to engage in sexual perversion than to get married in a traditional union between man and wife and have children. Population control and, once again, the removal of the institution that makes people self-sufficient and not dependent on the government.
“Today, the district court decided parents have no right to notice when extreme ideology is pushed on their elementary-age children during story hour,” Becket senior counsel Eric Baxter stated in a post published on X Thursday. “With the new school year beginning, the case is on the fast track to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals—and the parents plan to appeal the decision.”
“Children are entitled to enjoy a period of innocence and be guided by their own parents on how and when to approach the complex and sensitive issues being pushed by the School Board,” he continued.

The federal judge presiding over the case ruled that the school district taking action to ban the ability for parents to opt their kids out of the curriculum is not an infringement on their religious beliefs. I would beg to differ.
“The no-opt-out policy does not pressure the parents to refrain from teaching their faiths, to engage in conduct that would violate their religious beliefs, or to change their religious beliefs. The policy may pressure them to discuss the topics raised by the storybooks with their children, but those discussions are anticipated, not prohibited, by the parents’ faiths,” Boardman’s decision said. “The parents are not pressured into violating their religious beliefs in order to obtain the benefits of a public education.”
Can a parent teaching his kid religious values at home compete with the worldview he or she is being taught at school for almost 40 hours a week, plus the peer pressure placed on children by fellow students and teachers? I don’t think so. If you send your kid to Rome, don’t be surprised when he returns home Caesar.
It’s time for parents to wake up and smell the coffee. Public education is no longer a safe, viable option for the spiritual, mental, or physical health of children. And the only way to keep them from harm is to work toward returning education to the hands of parents through abolishing the Department of Education and making schools a community issue and utilizing the free market.
Or, better yet, we can make the decision to sacrifice our comfortable lifestyles and find a way to pull our kids from public school and homeschool them. They are teaching kids that men can be women, folks. Clearly, having a college education is not required to be a teacher. You can do this.
