Actress Anya Taylor-Joy, most well known for her roles in “Split,” “Super Mario Bros.,” and “The Witch,” was reportedly forced to hide in her bedroom, completely terrified, as a group of masked men forced their way into her home and then tried to gain access to the very bedroom where she was taking refuge. I can’t imagine how terrifying that must’ve been. I don’t mean to politicize her horror, but this is precisely what makes the Second Amendment so important. Yes, it exists to help us defend our liberty from tyrannical government, but it also provides us with the tools to protect our lives and property from miscreants like these masked men.
Taylor-Joy was “shaken but unharmed” after the incident came to an end. The home invasion took place back in February 2023, according to a new report from The Sun. A series of reporting restrictions had been placed on the story at Wood Green crown court in North London, but those came to an end on Nov. 3, which then allowed information about the situation to be released to the public. That’s why it hadn’t been reported on until now.
What’s really shocking is this wasn’t even Taylor-Joy’s home. It was a luxury property where she and her husband were staying. The owner of the property is very well known, but the identity is still being kept secret.
Here’s more from The Daily Caller:
28-year old Taylor-Joy and her 30-year-old husband Malcolm McRae reportedly locked themselves in a bedroom and hid while the masked men allegedly made their way through the home during the terrifying ordeal. McRae’s bandmate, Kane Ritchotte, was also inside at the residence during the incident, according to The Sun.
It is believed the masked suspects left empty-handed, according to The Sun. Met Police were told of the break-in and CCTV video was analyzed as part of the investigation. Police conducted forensic checks at the residence and were able to take one of the suspects into custody. Kirk Holdrick, 42, has been accused and remains in prison after entering a plea of not guilty. He is scheduled to stand trial in September. The second suspect remains at large at this time and hast yet to be publicly identified. Holdrick participated via video link from behind bars at least six times regarding the case, according to The Sun. He had previously dated a reality television star in 2022. Police alleged Holdrick and the second suspect broke a glass pane to gain entry into the luxury home, according to The Sun.
Sounds like a truly horrifying ordeal. Glad Taylor-Joy and her husband survived that situation completely unscathed.
