In the midst of a nationwide tour, country music star Zach Bryan and his girlfriend, social media influencer Brianna LaPaglia, known as Brianna ‘Chickenfry,’ faced a harrowing experience that abruptly halted their journey.
While traveling for Bryan’s “Quittin Time” tour, the couple was involved in a severe car accident. The crash was so intense that both Bryan and LaPaglia feared for their lives. LaPaglia recounted the terrifying incident in a candid TikTok video that has captivated her followers.
“Zach and I got into a traumatizing side-by-side car crash. It flipped a bunch of times, everything shattered. And thank God we had our seatbelts on,” LaPaglia said. “There was a lot of blood and we thought, like, we were saying goodbye to each other.”
Following the crash, Bryan was rushed to receive medical attention, narrowly escaping more serious injuries. LaPaglia explained, “After the ambulance came and he got all stitched up, we were like, oh my God, thank God, like didn’t hit an artery, it was just a huge gash. We were okay, we are happy and alive and we were like, fine, okay, whatever, woohoo.”
After the accident, the couple made it to Little Rock, Arkansas, for Bryan’s scheduled performances on May 13 and May 14. However, another incident occurred when one of their cats got loose upon their return to their bus. Bryan sustained further injuries while trying to retrieve the cat. LaPaglia shared, “Zach tries to jump on her [and] all of his stitches burst again. He is bleeding everywhere. So much blood.” Fortunately, they managed to find their cat and left Arkansas without further problems.
The couple initially met at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards, where LaPaglia approached Bryan for a photograph. Their relationship was later confirmed by LaPaglia on her “PlanBri Uncut” podcast in July.
Bryan, an Oklahoma singer-songwriter, is known for his unique blend of country, folk, and rock music. He gained widespread attention with his raw, heartfelt lyrics and a grassroots approach to music distribution, primarily through social media platforms. His breakout success came with songs like “Heading South” and his debut album “DeAnn,” dedicated to his late mother.
