Bill Weir, CNN climate reporter, proved he’s a classless hack by heaping a ton of praise on President Joe Biden for the speech he delivered to the people of Maui who have suffered massive loss of property and life due to wildfires, comparing the incident to a small kitchen fire in his home almost two decades ago. How deplorable do you have to be to praise someone for belittling the pain, misery, and loss someone else is experiencing by attempting to make the tragedy all about you? Biden is a true egomaniac and the fact folks at CNN will lick his boots clean even after making such a horrible statement speaks volumes about their lack of character.
The wildfires that took place in Maui earlier in August killed over 100 people so far, with more than 1,000 still missing. The fires also destroyed 3,000 structures. And yet, for some reason, Biden thought it would be appropriate to compare this horrific incident with a small fire in his kitchen? Really?
“President and Dr. Biden spent several hours both over Lahaina on the ground here and meeting with both first responders and victims of this tragedy at the big shelter, the War Memorial shelter in central Maui,” Weir said, according to a report from the Daily Wire.
The liberal talking head continued to blabber, saying the president “said the right things in many cases when he came to the microphone to give his statements,” going on to add that he “did serve as empathizer-in-chief after five days of being mostly silent on the issue publicly.”
This is what it looks like to be a “yes man” for the current progressive regime in the White House. It’s a pathetic showcase of spinelessness on behalf of Weir and the network that keeps him, for whatever reason, gainfully employed.

Biden was already in hot water with the people of Maui for sitting on his laurels at the beach on vacation while fires destroyed their lives, only responding to questions about the situation with “no comment.” But then he actually made things worse by paying a visit to the island on Monday and delivering his boneheaded speech.

The Delaware fire chief discussed the fire at Biden’s house at the time, saying they arrived at the home quickly and had the situation under control in just a matter of minutes. Hardly seems comparable to what happened in Maui, right?
“I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense, Jill and I, what it’s like to lose a home,” Biden commented during his speech in Maui. “Years ago — now 15 years ago — I was in Washington doing ‘Meet the Press.’ It was a sunny Sunday, and lightning struck at home on a little lake that’s outside of our home — not a lake, a big pond — and hit a wire and came up underneath our home into the heating ducts — the air conditioning ducts.”
“To make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my ‘67 Corvette, and my cat,” he added. “But all kidding aside, I watched the firefighters, the way they responded.”
Biden then stated that firefighters rushed into the “flames” blazing on in his home to “save my wife and save my family. Not a joke.”
“The smoke — and the firefighters here can tell you — sometimes smoke is so thick. From the windows out, it was that thick inside the home. And we were — we were insured. We did not have any problem, but being out of our home for a better part of a year was difficult,” Biden continued. “I can only imagine what it’s like to lose your home completely burned to the ground.”
This man is a joke.
