Actress Nicole Eggert, 52, has recently shared a poignant moment from her battle with cancer on social media. Showing remarkable courage, Eggert posted a video on Thursday capturing her journey of shaving her head.
Setting the tone with the defiant beats of the Beastie Boys’ anthem “Fight For Your Right,” Eggert greeted her audience with a warm smile as she embarked on the symbolic act of shaving her head with a buzzer in hand.
Joining her in this touching moment was her 12-year-old daughter, Keegan, who offered her support by helping her mother shave the hard-to-reach areas at the back of her head.
“Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are – Madeleine Eames,” read Eggert’s Instagram caption, accompanying the heartfelt video.

Eggert rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s, earning recognition for her role as Summer Quinn on the iconic TV series “Baywatch.” Starting her acting career as a child, she appeared in various commercials, TV shows, and films, including “Charles in Charge,” where she portrayed Jamie Powell.
In January, Eggert disclosed her diagnosis of stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer, which she received in December 2023, to PEOPLE magazine. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “This journey’s been rough for me. This hasn’t been a breezy sail through life. I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through.”
Besides her son Keegan, Eggert is a mother to her 25-year-old daughter Dilyn. She has previously opened up about the financial challenges she faces as a single mom, prompting her to create a GoFundMe page to help cover her medical expenses.
“I absolutely 100% want to start a non-profit for other single parents such as myself, who don’t have any family, don’t have anybody to turn to,” she expressed in January. “They take on all this by themselves because they love their kids so much, but when something happens to them, then what?”
Eggert emphasized her desire to give back to other parents facing similar situations, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of love and support she has received during her challenging time.
