Legendary action star and former Republican governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has come out in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris, taking more than a few shots at former President Donald Trump in the process of announcing his endorsement for the White House. You know, I don’t think people like Arnold really understand what it means to be a Republican. It’s about principles and values that support and encourage a free market economy and personal liberty for all without interference by the federal government.
Endorsing Harris is essentially showing you support the exact opposite of those principles, thus, you should not ever use the label Republican to refer to yourself. It’s an oxymoron. And to hate a person so much you’d put voting against them above what’s best for your country is really sad and deplorable.
The “Terminator” start made his endorsement in a statement on social media, going on to claim that “people want to hear from me because I am not just a celebrity, I am a former Republican Governor.” I really think he’s overestimating the value of his opinion on this one.
Schwarzenegger stated that while he’s no fan of politics, especially in our current environment, he felt he had an obligation to weigh in on matters before Election Day next Tuesday.
“Let me be honest with you: I don’t like either party right now. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, driven up deficits, and rejected election results,” he said in his post. “Democrats aren’t any better at dealing with deficits, and I worry about their local policies hurting our cities with increased crime.”
Okay, so I agree with him somewhat on these issues. Democrats are terrible with money, but he’s right that there are some members of the GOP who aren’t any better. Of course, where he falters is that he neglected to mention how many times over decades that Democrats have denied election results. Let’s be fair and balanced.

“To someone like me who talks to people all over the world and still knows America is the shining city on a hill, calling America a trash can for the world is so unpatriotic, it makes me furious,” he remarked.

He made no mention of President Joe Biden saying this week that 74 million Americans who voted for Trump were “garbage.”

“This week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” the “Predator” actor said.
He lamented the growing national debt and the crisis at the southern border, two issues that have both been dramatically worsened under the Biden-Harris administration. Schwarzenegger claimed that the only thing Trump accomplished was getting a tax cut passed and that it was only for “his donors and other rich people like me but helped no one else.” Nearly 65% of Americans got a tax cut under Trump, according to The New York Times.
He claimed that electing Trump would lead to “four more years of bulls*** with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful.”
“We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won’t do that,” he continued. “He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger.”
So, according to Arnold, we should choose Kamala Harris not because her policies are good for the country — they’re horrendous by the way — but simply due to Trump supposedly being worse? Yeah, that’s not convincing at all.
