Fans of the “Star Wars” franchise were absolutely floored to see Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill lose his ever loving mind and go on an unhinged rant about President-elect Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election. During his little spiel, Hamill stated emphatically that he doesn’t care how many of his fans he angers with his pure hatred for Trump. Thing is, if you ask him to provide examples of why he hates the guy, Hamill wouldn’t be able to do anything other than parrot typical left-wing media talking points. That’s seemingly all these guys can ever do.
And the fact that Hamill and many other hardcore left-wing celebrities don’t understand why Trump won demonstrates how out of touch with the average American they are. Celebrities are rich people who never want for anything. Of course they don’t understand what it’s like for somebody who actually works for a living to have to try and survive paycheck-to-paycheck. They don’t get how devastating it is to have your grocery bill double due to a spike in the cost of living caused by inflation. They have all the money in the world.
This is why the general public is sick and tired of being preached at by actors and filmmakers. Individuals in the entertainment industry have no clue how bad things have become in the real world.

Hamill cemented himself into pop culture fame with his role as Like Skywalker in Star Wars and later as the voice of Batman’s The Joker in a series of hit animated movies. But in his interview on a recent episode of the Politickin Podcast hosted by extremist Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom, Hamill seemed more like a crazed Joker than a serene Jedi Knight as he went into a rage over Trump.
As he continued, he seemed to find it hard to spit out his words because he was becoming so unhinged with Trump Derangement Syndrome. But he eventually admitted that he does not care how many fans he might upset with his demented vitriol. “I was devastated,” he said with his hands shaking as he recounted how he felt when Trump won the White House for a second time last month. He then exclaimed, “I want to get rid of the Electoral College because Hillary beat him by 3 million votes, just shy under 3 million and Gore beat W by half a million.”
Hamill apparently doesn’t understand that even if the popular vote decided the president all by itself, Trump still would be the next president. Nothing is changing that. However, the whole purpose of the Electoral College is to prevent big cities from always being the ones who decide everything. Every person deserves to have their vote heard, including those located in flyover country, much to Mark Hamill’s chagrin.
But he then went on to prove that he does not know any actual facts about the Electoral College and told Newsom he thought it had something to do with slavery, saying, “My God, this is the remnants of slave days when they were trying to, you know, proportion, the amount of votes with, you know, how many slaves you owned.”
This, of course, if simply wrong. The Electoral College had nothing at all to do with slavery. The election device was created because small states like Rhode Island feared that they would be permanently left without any power to affect the presidential election and bigger states such as New York and Virginia would forever dominate if elections were based solely on the number of citizens each state had. The Electoral College was therefore created to level the playing field between the smaller and larger states so that every state had a more or less equal say in the election of the president and vice president.
The Star Wars actor then said that he stopped interacting with folks online because “you get most scorching hate tweets from the MAGA crowd.” He eventually dropped out of X because too many people were pushing back on his madness. His daughter gave him some sage advice, asking her dear old dad to just stop being so political on social media. However, it doesn’t seem Hamill has any interest in taking such a path.
“My daughter would say, ‘Daddy, you shouldn’t tweet politically so much because, you know, people get so angry.’” Hamill remarked. “And so I wrote a tweet because I said the people complaining about my Trump tweets have to understand, I love my country and I feel it’s my patriotic duty to oppose this sociopathic… with every fiber of my being. And that’s the way I been. I thought, I mean, I do feel it’s an obligation.”

He then stated he doesn’t care who his rants offend.
“And who cares about your career?” he explained. “People say, well, it’s hurting your career because you have to appeal to the whole country, not just half the country or 45% or whatever the MAGA crowd is. But I said in the grander scheme of things, who cares if I lose a part in the movie because I hate the orange atrocity? I do. And I want people to know that,” he admitted.
This guy is not in a healthy place mentally. It’s time to take a break, Mark. Go play with your lightsaber or something.
