Former CEO of popular fashion brand Abercrombie & Fitch, Mike Jeffries, along with his British partner, have been taken into police custody and charged with sex trafficking. This is utterly deplorable and completely disgusting. The couple were arrested in West Palm Beach, Florida. Two other individuals associated with the men were also arrested in connection with the trafficking charges, which are related to young men and sex parties.
According to a report from Breitbart News:
They are expected to appear in federal court in Florida and Wisconsin on Tuesday and arraigned at a later date in the eastern District of New York. Jeffries was the CEO of the popular clothing brand from 1992 to 2014. He stepped down with a $25 million retirement package.
The news of his arrest comes one year after BBC News published an explosive report that said Jeffries exploited men at sex parties he hosted, as Breitbart News reported. That report said 12 men described attending or organizing events that included sex acts for Jeffries and his partner Matthew Smith, and those events allegedly took place from 2009 to 2015. Some of the men who spoke to BBC said they were exploited or didn’t participate willingly. Lawyers for Jeffries and Smith have both previously denied any wrongdoing by both men.
Jeffries’ lawyer spoke with the BBC about the news of his arrest saying, “We will respond in detail to the allegations after the Indictment is unsealed, and when appropriate, but plan to do so in the courthouse – not the media.”
This isn’t the only high-profile individual to recently be arrested for sex trafficking. Everyone knows by now that famous rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is being charged with all kinds of sex related crimes, including trafficking people. Shockingly, his children recently came out in defense of their father, despite all of the evidence clearly piled against him.
Look, I love my father too, but if the evidence clearly proved he was involved in some very disturbing crimes, I’d have to just keep my mouth shut and say nothing.
via Billboard:
Embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ adult children broke their silence about their father’s ongoing legal troubles as he awaits a May trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. In their first statement since Combs, 54, was arrested and detained on the charges that could land him a potential life sentence, Quincy Brown, 33, Justin Combs, 30, King Combs, 26, Chance Combs, 18, and twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, 17 said they support their dad against what they said were false charges.
“The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media,” read the post shared Tuesday (Oct. 22) that included a picture of Combs’ children posing with the rapper-producer’s mother, Janice Combs, and his youngest child, daughter, Love Combs, 2, with her mother, Dana Tran.
“We stand united, supporting you every step of the way,” the message continued. “We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”
If Jeffries, his co-horts, and Diddy are all guilty of sex trafficking, I truly hope the book is thrown at them and they receive the maximum penalty of the law.
