In a touching update shared on the official Kensington Royal Twitter account, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, bravely opened up about her battle with cancer. Enduring the rigors of chemotherapy, Catherine shared the raw and real experiences of her treatment on X, expressing heartfelt thanks for the public’s overwhelming support and candidly discussing the highs and lows of her health journey.
“Blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months,” she began, acknowledging the vital role this support has played for both her and Prince William during this tough time. “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
Despite the challenges, Catherine remains hopeful and active. “I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet,” she wrote on Friday.
The Princess also reflected on the personal growth she has experienced through this ordeal, learning patience and how to manage the uncertainty of her condition. “Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal,” she noted.
I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.

In March, Middleton revealed she was battling cancer and started chemotherapy following a major abdominal surgery in January, which was initially thought to be for a benign condition. Further tests, however, confirmed cancer, leading to preventative chemotherapy. Amid these developments, Prince William has consistently shown strength in public appearances following his wife’s announcement.
He recently remarked that his wife was “doing well.” Meanwhile, Middleton has been spotted running errands alone and with family. An insider told Us Weekly, “Kate’s feeling strong enough to be very involved with the kids. She’s been an active parent.” A second source noted, “Kate’s recovery is going well. She’s not able to see many people because she is susceptible to getting sick and they don’t want her compromised, but she’s up and about.”

Kate’s team is thoughtfully considering her future commitments, as sources explained they are “reevaluating what she’s going to be able to take on when she comes back.” The source further elaborated, “She may never come back in the role that people saw her in before. Her role may look very different,” the source mentioned.
“It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment but most importantly it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that’s appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be okay,” Middleton said earlier in the year.
