Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley finally called it quits on Wednesday after taking a brutal and substantial beating in the primaries held on Super Tuesday this week, though as she bowed out of the race, she did not throw her own support behind former President Donald Trump. I guess she’s not a woman of her word, considering she signed a pledge to back whoever the nominee was in order to participate in the many debates the GOP held in the early part of the election. If she can’t abide by a simple pledge, why should anyone trust her to keep her word in any political position she tries to nab?
Maybe she’ll wise up later and issue a statement supporting Trump.
Haley only one two primaries during the races on Tuesday, which were D.C. and Vermont.
Here’s more from the Daily Wire:
She said in an interview on Sunday that she was no longer bound to honor her pledge to support Trump if he won the party’s nomination. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis did endorse Trump once he decided to exit the race.
“In all likelihood, Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee when our party convention meets in July,” she said. “I congratulate him and wish him well. I wish anyone well who would be America’s president. Our country is too precious to let our differences divide us. I have always been a conservative Republican and always supported the Republican nominee. But on this question, as she did on so many others, Margaret Thatcher provided some good advice, when she said, ‘never just follow the crowd, always make up your own mind.’”
“It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him,” she added. “And I hope he does that. At its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not turning them away. And our conservative cause badly needs more people. This is now his time for choosing.”
Haley also warned in her speech about the dangers of the exploding national debt, the need for term limits in Congress, and the “moral imperative” the U.S. has to support its allies across the world.

At this point, it’s been made clear that Republican voters believe in Trump and his platform for the country. They have all shown him overwhelming support. We’ve had four years of his platform already and things were good. Why not another go? He certainly cannot do worse than President Joe Biden, right? Biden is like a tornado. Chaotic and completely senseless, leaving a wide path of destruction in his wake. We need someone who can repair the damage done during his administration and Trump can do that.

But it goes beyond economics, though that is certainly an important factor. Trump is a fighter. The radical left is currently trying to destroy his whole life, everything he’s worked to build, and he’s still fighting. He’s pushing forward, relentless. Nothing they do tears him down. The American people know he will carry that fight into the White House and stand up for them against the deep state.
