One of the reasons so many people love former President Donald Trump is because he is consistent in his personal character. What you see is what you get. He doesn’t act one way with a specific group of people and switches up his personality with a different crowd in order to better fit with those in his present company. It’s a rare trait to find someone like this, especially a person who has a solid grasp of conservative principles and is willing to go to bat for those values in order to preserve them and the wonderful nation built upon them.
Trump has proven this to be true during his current civil trial in New York City, having taken the stand to deliver testimony and calling out the clearly biased judge right then and there, along with maintaining his innocence despite being hammered over and over by liberals who are seeking to destroy him and his family in order to pave the way for President Joe Biden to get a second term in office.
In fact, according to the Daily Wire, Trump made an appearance in court on Wednesday where his legal team made a request for a mistrial due to the bias of the judge presiding over the case and his principal law clerk who they claim have “tainted” the trial.
“This appearance of bias threatens both Defendants’ rights and the integrity of the judiciary as an institution,” Trump’s attorneys went on to say in the filing, according to a report published by ABC News. “As developed herein, in this case the evidence of apparent and actual bias is tangible and overwhelming.”
“Trump’s legal team reportedly referenced a Wheatley School alumni page that trial Judge Arthur Engoron appears to run. According to The Hill, the judge allegedly made posts about the case or individuals involved in it, including Trump, Eric Trump, and Trump’s attorney Alina Habba,” the report continued. The filing then pointed to a piece of New York code that says, “a judge shall not make any public comment about a pending or impending proceeding in any court within the United States or its territories.”
The legal team representing the former president also stated they were concerned with Engoron’s principal law clerk, Allison Greenfield, due to her “unprecedented role in the trial and extensive, public partisan activities.”
“Such evidence, coupled with an unprecedented departure from standard judicial procedure, has tainted these proceedings and a mistrial is warranted,” the filing goes on to state.

The current case Trump is dealing with stems from an investigation into the former president’s business practices launched by New York Attorney General Letitia James. Part of James’ campaign platform was based on promises to prosecute Trump, which she fulfilled by filing charges charges saying that he, his companies, and members of his family of lying about the property valuations to banks in order to receive better loan terms.
The attorney general is seeking $250 million and restrictions on the former president’s ability to conduct business in the New York area.
