Republican presidential candidate and former governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley went totally off the rails during the GOP debate Wednesday evening, ripping into pharmaceutical executive and fellow candidate Vivek Ramaswamy with a fury not seen from her before, going so far as to refer to him as “scum.” Yikes. I’d hate to be on her bad side. If she gets this heated with a complete and total stranger, what’s it like to forget to take the trash out around her house?
The heated rant came during a portion of the debate where the candidates were chatting about their views on whether or not TikTok should be banned from the country. I mean, seeing as how the company is continually selling off data and allowing the Chinese Communist Party to use it for espionage, the answer should be an easy “yes.”
And that’s not even delving deep into the extremely negative impact the social media video sharing app has had on young people.
“I want to laugh at why Nikki Haley didn’t answer your question, which was about looking at families in the eye,” Ramaswamy snarkily commented during the debate, according to the Daily Wire’s report. “In the last debate, she made fun of me for actually joining TikTok while her own daughter was actually using the app for a long time. So you might want to take care of your family first before preaching to everybody else [inaudible] adult daughter.”
“Leave my daughter out of your voice,” Haley replied quickly.
“The next generation of Americans are using it — and that’s actually the point,” Ramaswamy went on to say as the audience bathed him in a chorus of boos. “Yeah her supporters, propping her up. That’s fine.”
“You’re just scum,” Haley stated.

Man, what a fiery moment. You don’t usually have such brutality as this during a GOP debate, especially one without former President Donald Trump, who is a notorious counterpuncher and not afraid to take the conversation in directions other’s will not.

But then again, this isn’t the first time these two have exchanged fisticuffs — verbally speaking — during a debate. The last two events held similar battles between the pair over this same topic as well as others.
In September, Haley came out swinging for the fences against Ramaswamy after he provided an explanation for his use of TikTok after previously stating people should avoid the app.
“This is infuriating, because TikTok is one of the most dangerous social media apps that we could have,” Haley remarked in response to Ramaswamy’s comments. “And what you’ve got, I honestly, every time I hear you, I feel a little bit dumber for what you say.”

Whew.
These two really do not like each other.
Just imagine if one of the two of them, by some strange turn of events, ended up the GOP nominee. Would the other make good on the pledge they signed in order to participate in the debates and back the chosen candidate despite all of the heated remarks exchanged during campaign season?
I don’t think we’ll ever find out, because these two have almost zero chance of becoming the party’s nominee, but it’s fun to speculate, right?
